16 <br />Attachment 2 <br />FY 2018 -2019 HOME PARTNERSHIP INVESTMENT PROGRAM <br />Revised Summary Sheet for FY2018 -2019 Proposed Projects <br />Name of Applicant <br />Proposed Project Activity & Brief Description <br />Proposed Geographic Area <br />Amount Requested <br />Community Home Trust (CHT) <br />Homeowner Assistance <br />Northside and Pine Knolls Neighborhoods in <br />$60,201* <br />( *CHDO Set - Aside) <br />CHT will use funds to purchase two (2) homes in the Northside <br />Chapel Hill <br />or Pine Knolls neighborhood and /or provide second mortgage <br />assistance. The target population consists of households <br />earning at or below 80% of the Area Median Income. <br />Empowerment <br />Rental Acquisition <br />Pine Knolls Neighborhood in Chapel Hill <br />$145,000 <br />The acquisition of one 2- bedroom /1 bath unit located in Chapel <br />Hill, NC. The target population consists of households earning <br />at or below 80% of the area median income. Empowerment is <br />leveraging $25,000 from the NC Community Development <br />Initiative. The total project cost is $170,000, including needed <br />repairs. <br />Habitat for Humanity <br />Second Mortgage Assistance <br />Fairview Community in Hillsborough and the <br />$60,000 <br />Habitat proposes to use funds as second mortgage assistance <br />Tinnin Woods Subdivision in Efland <br />for two (2) newly constructed homes in the identified <br />communities in Orange County. <br />Inter -Faith Council for Social Service (IFC) <br />Rapid Re- Housing and General Tenant -Based Rental Assistance <br />Countywide <br />-0- <br />IFC will use funds for the Rapid Re- Housing or other rental <br />(Requesting to Withdraw Application) <br />assistance program, which helps families experiencing <br />homelessness move into permanent housing. IFC will assist <br />twenty -five individuals earning at or below 30% of the Area <br />Median Income. <br />Orange County — Housing Rehabilitation <br />Single- Family Housing Rehabilitation <br />Countywide <br />$44,211 <br />The County will leverage HOME dollars to undertake additional <br />housing rehabilitation activities. <br />Orange County— Countywide TBRA <br />Tenant -Based Rental Assistance <br />Countywide <br />$150,402 <br />The County will leverage local funds to provide rental <br />assistance for low income persons, including utilities and <br />security deposit payments. <br />TOTAL <br />$464,814 <br />
