Call to order 22 <br /> 23 <br />Nancy Baker called the meeting to order. 24 25 26 <br />II. Consideration of additions to the agenda 27 28 <br />Nancy Baker suggested the Board decide on an inclement weather plan. It was determined that if the County offices 29 <br />are closed there will be no meeting. Additionally if weather conditions are questionable for night driving the Chair and 30 <br />staff will determine what to do and contact will be made to all the members. Members are asked to provide preferred 31 <br />current home and cell phone contact numbers to staff. 32 33 34 <br />III. Approval of Minutes 35 <br /> 36 <br />The OUTBoard approved the minutes from November 17, 2010 by affirmation. 37 <br /> 38 <br /> 39 <br />IV. Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) 40 <br /> 41 <br />Sarah Lee and Scott Walston from NCDOT gave a power point presentation and reviewed the steering committee’s 42 <br />process and next steps. The Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) is a multi-modal plan which includes 43 <br />pedestrian, bicycle, transit, rail, and highway and incorporates local land use plans and goals. The plan is adopted 44 <br />on three levels, locally (county), regionally (Rural Planning Organization) which is an endorsement, and then NCDOT 45 <br />Board of Transportation for adoption. 46 <br /> 47 <br />Sarah Lee and Scott Walston answered questions from the OUTBoard. 48 <br /> 49 <br />The group asked to contact the surrounding counties and request copies of their CTPs. 50 <br /> 51 <br />The next step for the CTP Steering Group and NCDOT staff will be to have a public meeting in late January to 52 <br />present the deficiencies and then take it to the Board of County Commissioners. The committee will also start 53 <br />working on alternatives and after that take the draft CTP back to the public and the BOCC. The final step is adoption. 54 <br /> 55
