Approved 2-20-2008 <br />11 <br />Karen Lincoln: I have confirmed dates for this room. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: Do we have a protocol if there were ice storms or snow that would cause the meeting to be cancelled? <br /> <br />Karen Lincoln: We would let you know if it was cancelled. <br /> <br />Alice Gordon: If Orange County offices shut down then that would be one way to know. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: I don’t have a number to call to say I’m coming or I’ll be late. With the planning board we have a number <br />to call. I think we need to think about how this should be handled. <br /> <br />Alice Gordon: There ought to be a plan in place. <br /> <br />Paul Guthrie: You can do a couple of things, a mass email or call. <br /> <br />Bryn Smith: If there’s no telephone service then we know there’s not going to be a meeting. <br /> <br />Karen Lincoln: If a situation where we are anticipating that the weather is going to get so bad I think the chair should <br />make that call. <br /> <br />Alice Gordon: You should find out how the county does it and the situation where it is wide spread then you are told <br />to listen to the radio station for closings. The bottom line is using your own judgment. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: We need a notification plan in place even it is not weather related like if there is no quorum. <br /> <br />Randy Marshall: School systems have a phone-in system. <br /> <br />Alice Gordon: The protocol for almost every board is the chair makes the decision. Karen could find out if there is a <br />county number that could be used. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: Do we have a realistic date that we would be in the new facility? <br /> <br />Alice Gordon: They say they are on time but there are delays due to the final designs. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: Will we meet in the new building? <br /> <br />Nancy Cole Baker: No – we will still meet in the same rooms as now. I wanted to mention that my daughter is <br />observing tonight for a civics class report. <br /> MOTION made by Randy Marshall to adopt calendar. Seconded by Bryn Smith. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: Is this board going to review objectives at our next meeting on Comp Plan? <br /> <br />Karen Lincoln: Yes. There are handouts about Comp Plan meeting for January 28th. I was going to review the <br />handout. <br /> <br />Sam Lasris: Do I have a second on adoption of the calendar? <br /> <br />Bryn Smith: I second the adoption of the calendar. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous.
