Department of Health and Human Services <br />2710 Mail Center <br />Raleigh, N.C. 27699-2710 <br />Re: Jantaary 18, 2005 Orange County Jail Inspection <br />Dear Mr. Harkins, <br />During inspection of the Orange County jail on Jarnaary 18, 2005 Inspector Byrd, noted <br />the following items, which required a written response by us, <br />Jail annex cameras/monitors needed to be repaired; painting was needed for various <br />areas of the jail and the airlheat ducts needed to be cleaned. <br />All jail annex cameras/monitors are operating properly at this time. When the <br />inspection was conducted we were installing new cameras and monitors. This project is <br />now completed. <br />Request for painting to various cell areas was noted. The areas noted have now been <br />painted. <br />Request for the vents in the jail air/heating system to be cleaned was requested.
