Dental Clinic The Dental Clinic was awarded a grant from Delta Dental for $2,000 and have elected to use the funding to treat childhood caries by the Silver Diamine Fluoride technique, which requires the Health Department to add an associated fee to the fee schedule. We anticipate treating 75 Medicaid eligible children between the ages of 1 and 8 during the term of the grant, which will end August 31, 2018. Based on our analysis of costs to perform the procedure and fees from surrounding jurisdictions, we propose to set the fee at $49. Given that the Medicaid reimbursement rate is $24.18 for this procedure, we only anticipate receiving $1,813.50 in revenue.
