Comments from the Planning Board, the Economic Development <br />Commission and the Commission for the Environment are included, respectively, in Attachments <br />2. 3 and 4. <br />The BOCC has endorsed four planning documents over the past six years that recommend <br />transportation improvements to address current and future transportation needs: <br />• A Bicycle Transportation Plan (1999) <br />• Recommendations of the Eaonomic Development Transportation Wark Group (2001) <br />Access Management Awareness Project & Report for Orange Grove Road (2003) <br />Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC) 2025 Long Range <br />Transportation Plan (endorsement of projects to include - 2002). <br />Recommendations from those studies/plans offer options for Orange County's Priority List for the <br />2007 -2013 TIP. Attachment 5 gives the implementation recommendations and map of priority <br />routes from the Bicycle Transportation Plan. Attachment 6 lists projects from the other planning <br />documents mentioned in the previous paragraph. <br />Staff will present a working draft at the Febn~ary 28`h meeting for the Board's discussion of Orange <br />County's transportation priorities. The draft Priority List for the 2007 - 2013 STIP will be a <br />compilation of the 2006 -2012 TIP Priority List and comments received from the Planning Board, <br />the Eaonomic Development Commission, and the Commission for the Environment. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board receive the information, and <br />discuss Orange County's priority transportation needs far the 2007 -2013 Transportation <br />Improvement Program. <br /> <br />
