She resumed the PowerPoint presentation: 18 <br /> 19 <br />$0.0142 Tax Rate Increase Impact (chart) 20 <br /> 21 <br />Request Compilation (chart) 22 <br /> 23 <br />County Departments 24 <br />Employee Compensation Package (chart) 25 <br /> 26 <br />Commissioner Jacobs asked if the living wage for temporary employees is being phased 27 <br />in to be the full living wage over the years. 28 <br />Bonnie Hammersley said this proposed living wage ($14.25/hour) will go into effect July 29 <br />1, 2018. 30 <br />Commissioner Jacobs asked if this will parallel the rise which takes place in County 31 <br />Government. 32 <br />Bonnie Hammersley said yes. 33 <br />Commissioner Price said substitute teachers are still making $10/hour, and asked if this 34 <br />can be increased. 35 <br />Bonnie Hammersley said the County gives money to the schools, and it is at the 36 <br />schools’ discretion as to how the money is used. 37 <br />Chair Dorosin said the BOCC can encourage the schools to raise the living wage. 38 <br />Bonnie Hammersley resumed the PowerPoint presentation: 39 <br /> 40 <br />FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP TEAMS 41 <br /> COMMUNITY SERVICES 42 <br /> Increase Solid Waste Program Fee $4 to $132 per year 43 <br /> GENERAL GOVERNMENT 44 <br /> Food Council Coordinator - 1.0 FTE (contingent on cost share amongst all 45 <br />jurisdictions) 46 <br /> EMS Billing Collections - 1.0 FTE (additional revenue) 47 <br /> Racial Equity Training (REI) - 1st year of 3 year plan (fund reallocation) 48 <br /> HUMAN SERVICES 49 <br /> Dental Hygienist - 1.0 FTE (new revenue and fund reallocation) 50
