Additions or Changes to the Agenda 22 <br />The following items were noted at the Commissioners’ places: 23 <br />- PowerPoint for Item 4-a: Budget Presentation 24 <br />- PowerPoint for Item 6-b: SPOT 5.0 Update and Recommendations on County Transportation 25 <br />Priorities in TARPO 26 <br /> 27 <br />Chair Dorosin said another Closed Session Purpose needs to be added to the other two 28 <br />closed session purposes at end of meeting: 29 <br /> 30 <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to 31 <br />add another closed session purpose at the end of the meeting: 32 <br />“To establish, or to instruct the public body's staff or negotiating agents concerning the position 33 <br />to be taken by or on behalf of the public body in negotiating (i) the price and other material 34 <br />terms of a contract or proposed contract for the acquisition of real property by purchase, option, 35 <br />exchange, or lease, “ NCGS 143-318.11 (a) (8) 36 <br /> 37 <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS 38 <br /> 39 <br />Arts Moment 40 <br />Arts Commission Board Member Linda Williamson introduced Gary Phillips: 41 <br />Gary Phillips is the 2016-2017 poet laureate of Carrboro, North Carolina. He is a writer, 42 <br />naturalist and entrepreneur. Gary has a special interest and expertise in conservation 43 <br />easements and other land-protective strategies. He co-founded Weaver Street Realty over 44 <br />thirty years ago and is still active in the business. He lives in a rammed earth house with his 45 <br />wife Ilana Dubester in Silk Hope, North Carolina. Gary avidly reads poetry and anthropological 46 <br />science fiction, studies amphibian activities on full moon nights and was once Chair of the 47 <br />Chatham County Board of Commissioners 48 <br /> Gary Phillips read a poem. 49 <br /> 50
