Additional information requested was identified as: <br />• contacting the three parks and recreation departments and advisory boards and <br />asking them what they want to see at the site; <br />• what is the current low impact recreation acreage in Orange County; <br />• what is the available active recreational acreage in the county. <br />• important to know where these recreational needs are coming from i.e., south or <br />north of the county? <br />• info about bond money - what money is currently . available and any existing <br />financial resources. <br />• Does the school district have any policy or desire as to whether two schools should be <br />physically connected. <br />Possible field trips were briefly discussed, and a suggestion was made to select a delegation <br />to go on site visits to New Hanover and Wake Counties, including meeting with people who <br />are familiar with the whole process for interviews /comments. Pictures or video was <br />encouraged to help those not present see 'the sites. Staff to investigate time for Veteran's <br />Park/Campus site visit (Wilmington). Try to schedule something informal for Cary. The next <br />work group meeting is December 121h at the Southern Human Services Center at 5:30p.m. <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:30p.m. <br />draft <br />
