43 <br />• Develop educational materials related to historic preservation that can disseminate needed <br />information to citizens <br />• Participate in the County's 250`h Anniversary Celebration <br />What activities does this board/commission contemplate, and/or what issues does this <br />board/commission foresee at this time, that could lead to a proposed new BOCC goal(s) <br />for 2002 -2003? <br />Pursue the creation of a preservation maintenance fund <br />In priority order, what are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for <br />the upcoming fiscal year that it plans to address, regardless of their relationship to any <br />existing or new BOCC goal? <br />• Continue to review and advise on Lands Legacy acquisitions, particularly by assisting in the <br />development ofpreservation plans for those sites that contain historic structures <br />• Complete work on proposed Heritage /Scenic Corridor program <br />• Complete revisions to the Local Landmark program including design guidelines <br />• Prepare the Orange County Historic Architectural Resource materials for publication <br />• Other? <br />Describe any training related to its primary responsibilities that this Board/Commission <br />has received during 2001, either collectively, or for individual members. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission's CLG status requires that two members attend <br />preservation workshops or seminars each fiscal year. This year three members of the HPC <br />attended preservation - related workshops or conferences during the 2001 -2002 fiscal year, and <br />one member spoke at a local preservation lecture series. <br />
