"1 <br />ATTACHMENT # 2 <br />RURAL EDUCATION CENTER <br />The Rural Education Center will accommodate a number of agriculture and <br />non - agriculture activities. This facility will serve an education /learning <br />function which directly supports programs and laboratories of rural related <br />County agencies. These agencies include Cooperative Extension Service, <br />Soil and Water Conservation, Farmers' HomCAdministration, theCountyrForestry <br />Stabilization and Conservation Service (AS ), nd <br />Services. Activities that might be held at the Center include agricultural or <br />environmental education programs, large meetings and /or livestock events. <br />The proposed center may include an indoor animal show ring and arena, <br />stockholding areas, livestock scales, and space for educational programs, <br />rural heritage area, farmers' markeSelds to demonstrate good farming <br />improvements include an orchard, small f <br />practices, and environmental study areas. <br />This project will be funded entirely with pay -as- you -go funds of S280,000. <br />Annual operating costs are dependent on the type facility Constructed and <br />the use of the facility.
