Presenters include James Watts, Opera-
tions Manager, Carrboro's Weaver Street Market; Paul Griswold, Produce
Manager, Weaver Street Market; Sam Poley, Executive Chef, Chapel Hill's
Weathervane Caf6 at Southern Seasons; Ray Christopher, member of Carolina
Organic Growers Cooperative and farmer, Timberwood Organics; Bill Dow,
farmer, Ayrshire Farm; Alex Hitt, farmer, Peregrine Farm; and Debbie Roos,
Chatham County Agricultural Extension Agent. The growers have over 50
years of combined marketing experience.
Register for this workshop by calling 919 -542 -8202. The deadline for registra-
tion is January 14. A S10 registration fee is required to cover material costs.
Mail your check for S 10 payable to Chatham County Cooperative Extension
and mail to Debbie Roos, PO Box 279, Pittsboro, NC, 27312.
Plow Sharing Evaluation
Thanks to everyone who took the time to complete an evaluation for Plow
Sharing. If you haven't yet turned in your form, it's not too late — I'll accept
them until January 10, which gives me time to complete my 2001 work report.
I appreciate the wonderful feedback and ideas for future articles. I would like
to respond to one comment because people have asked about this before...
someone asked if I could include registration fees for conferences that I men-
tion, but unfortunately our penalty mail restrictions prohibit me from listing
fees for any events other than our own Chatham County Extension events. The
best I can do is provide contact information so that you can call or visit a web -
site for information on registration fees.
Employment and program opportunities are offered to all people regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
North Carolina State A & T State University, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and local governments cooperating.
