Registration will take place from <br />8:30 -9:00 a.m., and refreshments will be available. <br />This year's Summit will provide agricultural producers in Orange County another opportunity to <br />hear strategies for preserving their farms during this time of agricultural transition. We are proud <br />and pleased to.note that N.C. Secretary of Agriculture Meg Scott Phipps will be the keynote <br />speaker on this important topic. <br />Several speakers will discuss changes that are in the works regarding the use -value system, as <br />well as. other legislative matters of interest to farmers. Later there will be three breakout sessions <br />on plasticulture specialty crops, vegetable marketing, and on how to analyze and manage <br />possible new agricultural ventures. <br />A sponsored lunch will be served and-exhibits will feature information from different commodity <br />and grower associations as well as agricultural resource agencies. Please call North Carolina <br />Cooperative Extension - Orange County Center at (919) 245 -2050 . to reserve your place.
