He was notified in January 2004 that his unit would deploy for service in <br />Southwest Asia in February 2004. Sergeant Wagner and his unit redeployed to the United <br />States in January 2005, and following demobilization at Fort Bragg, he returned to full-time work <br />with Orange County on January 31, 2005. <br />Approval of the attached resolution would provide formal recognition from the Orange County <br />Board of Commissioners of Sergeant Wagner's military service in Iraq and express appreciation <br />far the hardship and sacrifice that he and his family have borne during the past year in his <br />performance of his military duties. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the accompanying <br />resolution and present it to Jerry Wagner. <br />
