She said it will be a challenge, <br />but Durham Tech will continue to be creative, and look to others for short-term space rental if <br />need be. <br />Matt Williams said some courses may not be offered in Orange County until the <br />expansion, but all classes are offered at the Durham campus. <br />Commissioner McKee asked if Durham Tech has considered having employers do <br />training on site, at the employers’ facility. <br />Matt Williams said yes, and this does happen sometimes. <br />Chair Dorosin asked if there is a reason that high school facilities are not used at night <br />and on weekends, or community centers, or government buildings that are not otherwise being <br />used. He said this could be a long-term solution. <br />Penny Gluck said alternative schedules are being researched, but it is important to <br />ensure that the necessary educational equipment is available to support the instructors.
