The following pertains to the <br />2009 BOCC Goals set: <br />Orange County BOCC Goals and Priorities <br />OUTBoard <br />Accomplishments <br />(From Pages 2 -3) <br />Goal One: Ensure a community network of basic human <br />la, 1c, 1d, le <br />services and infrastructure that maintains, protects and <br />promotes the well -being of all County residents. <br />Goal Two: Promote an interactive and transparent <br />1, 7, 10, 11 <br />system of governance that reflects community values. <br />Goal Three: Implement planning and economic <br />la, 1c, le, 6, 7, 9, 10, <br />development policies which create a balanced, dynamic <br />11 <br />local economy, and which promote diversity, sustainable <br />growth and enhanced revenue while embracing <br />community values <br />Priority 20: Support transit, pedestrian, and bicycle <br />1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, <br />facilities and other alternatives to the single <br />12 <br />passenger automobile. <br />Goal Four: Invest in quality County facilities, a diverse <br />6 <br />work force, and technology to achieve a high performing <br />County government. <br />Priority 11: Invest in technology to increase work <br />1d, 1e <br />efficiencies; e.g. web streaming, paperless agendas, <br />integrated tracking systems between field and office. <br />Priority 22: Review and update County personnel <br />1b, 1d <br />and operational policies and procedures. <br />Goal Five: Create, preserve, and protect a natural <br />1,5 <br />environment that includes clean water, clean air, wildlife, <br />important natural lands and sustainable energy for <br />present and future generations. <br />Goal Six: Ensure a high quality of life and lifelong <br />1,5 <br />learning that champions diversity, education at all levels, <br />libraries, parks, recreation, and animal welfare. <br />
