W. <br />Task Force (BSTF) along with sixteen other people representing stakeholder <br />groups. The BSTF meetings began with eight meetings in 2016, and one meeting <br />in 2017. The full OUTBoard reviewed and approved the final BSTF Report over <br />the course of two meetings and then it was forwarded on to the BOCC. <br />Following completion of the Report, an implementation subcommittee of the <br />OUTBoard was formed that included three members of the OUTBoard. This <br />subcommittee has been meeting, with staff support, every three weeks since July <br />2017. Members of the previous BSTF have been invited to contribute. <br />Brief Statement of Board /Commission's Assigned Charge and <br />Responsibilities: <br />The OUTBoard is charged with advising with Board of County Commissioners <br />on the planning and programming of transportation infrastructure <br />improvements and other County transportation planning initiatives, as <br />directed by the Board <br />2. From time to time the OUTBoard may be directed to provide input on <br />regulations on which the Planning Board has primary statutory and local <br />ordinance advisory duties. In such instances, the OUTBoard shall serve in an <br />advisory capacity to the Planning Board. <br />What are your Board /Commission's most important accomplishments? <br />In 2017, the OUTBoard has: <br />Jointly addressed transit topics relating to Orange County Public Transit <br />(OCPT), with supplemental staff from other County departments (Aging; <br />DSS; Housing, Human Rights and Community Development; Health; Child <br />Support Enforcement; and the Library: <br />a. Reviewed and provided comments on the OPT Quarterly Operational <br />Statistics, including Orange County ridership data 2016 -2017. <br />b. Received an update on efforts to hire new drivers. <br />c. Reviewed and commented on the status of OPT expansion services, <br />including new services started, bus purchase options, and vehicles <br />already received. <br />• Efland Commuter Loop <br />• Route 70 Connector (Orange - Alamance Connector) <br />• Rural 2 days per week Zonal Routes <br />d. Received an update on the revisions to reporting and processing <br />requirements for Non - emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT, <br />Medicaid Transportation) and made a recommendation to the Board of <br />County Commissioners (BOCC) to support the additional staffing as <br />needed to support the processing of the new reporting requirements. <br />e. Received an update on Transit Scheduling and Planning Software <br />upgrades and procurements: <br />• CTS Scheduling software upgrades <br />
