The following <br />sentence in bold is suggested as an addition to the Public Charge to help reduce distractions. <br />Public Charge <br />The Board of Commissioners pledges to tlae citizens of Qrange County its <br />respect. The Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, <br />coin°teous naarzner, both with the Board and with, fellow citizens. At any time <br />should any member of the Board or any citizen, fail to observe this public <br />charge, the Chair will aslc the offending person to leave the meeting until that <br />individaral regains personal corati°ol. Should decorum.fail to be restored, the <br />Chair will ~°ecess the meeting until such tune that a genui~ae commitment to this <br />public charge is observed. All electro~zic devices such as cell pho~aes, pagers, <br />a~zd computers should be turned off or set to sile~zdvibrate. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: The adoption of the amendment has no financial impact on Orange <br />County. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board adopt the amended <br />Public Charge. <br />
