Harvey, Current Planning Supervisor <br /> <br /> DATE: April 25, 2018 <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: REAPPOINTMENT of Member to Orange County Board of <br />Adjustment <br /> __________ <br /> <br />Please accept this memorandum as the Planning Department's formal recommendation that <br />Ms. Susan Halkiotis be appointed to serve as second term as a member of the Orange <br />County Board of Adjustment (hereafter ‘Board’). <br /> <br />Ms. Halkiotis was appointed as a member of the Board on September 15, 2015 to her first <br />term, which will end on June 30, 2018. Since that time there have been approximately 9 <br />meetings of the Board acting on 6 individual cases, including several meetings associated <br />with the Barn of Chapel Hill Special Use Permit and associated appeal(s). Ms. Halkiotis has <br />attended all meetings including 2 special meetings associated with the cases referenced <br />herein. <br /> <br />Ms. Halkiotis has expressed a desire to be re-appointed to serve a second term as a Board <br />member. Staff recommends she be re-appointed to same. <br /> <br />Please let me know if I can be of further assistance. <br />5
