Board of Commissioners - Chatham Orange Joint Planning Task Force 12 <br />The Board appointed Commissioner Barry Jacobs to the Chatham Orange Joint Planning Task 13 <br />Force. 14 <br /> 15 <br />9. County Manager’s Report 16 <br />Bonnie Hammersley provided an update on the Golden Leaf Foundation grants, for 17 <br />which the County applied. She said the County did not receive the first grant for the 18 <br />Hillsborough Area Economic Development District-Gravity Sewer; however, the County was 19 <br />awarded the Piedmont Food and Agricultural Processing Center (PFAP) Regional Cold Chain 20 <br />and Co-packing Initiative grant in the amount of $128,000. 21 <br /> 22 <br />10. County Attorney’s Report 23 <br />John Roberts said he thought the BOCC would need a closed session tonight on a 24 <br />proposed item, but he did not receive the necessary information for this item, and the closed 25 <br />session is no longer necessary. 26 <br />John Roberts said the BOCC is getting emails and members of the public speaking at 27 <br />meetings, about the BOCC regulating the confederate flag, and he wants to reiterate that this is 28 <br />not what the BOCC is considering. He said staff was tasked with coming up with content 29 <br />neutral language, which will be forthcoming and will only regulate the size and height of flags. 30 <br />He said there are two large confederate flags already flying in the County that he believes will 31 <br />be unaffected by this change, and the only two flags that he knows of personally, which may be 32 <br />impacted by this change, are American flags. 33 <br /> 34 <br />11. *Appointments 35 <br />NONE 36 <br /> 37 <br />12.
