The Board of Directors generally meets on the 3rd Thursday of each 24 <br />month from 8:30-10:00am. He said the letter is at the Commissioners’ places. 25 <br /> 26 <br />A motion as made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Burroughs to 27 <br />nominate Commissioner McKee to serve on the Chapel Hill - Carrboro Chamber of Commerce. 28 <br /> 29 <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS 30 <br /> 31 <br />1. Discussion of Manager’s Recommended FY 2018-23 Capital Investment Plan 32 <br />(CIP) 33 <br /> 34 <br />BACKGROUND: 35 <br />Each year, the County produces a Capital Investment Plan (CIP) that establishes a budget-36 <br />planning guide related to capital needs for the County as well as Schools. The current CIP 37 <br />consists of a 5-year plan that is evaluated annually to include year-to-year changes in 38 <br />priorities, needs, and available resources. Approval of the CIP commits the County to the first 39 <br />year funding only of the capital projects; all other years are used as a planning tool and serves 40 <br />as a financial plan. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Capital Investment Plan – Overview 43 <br />The FY 2018-23 CIP includes County Projects, School Projects, and Proprietary Projects. The 44 <br />School Projects include Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools, Orange County Schools, and 45 <br />Durham Technical Community College – Orange County Campus projects. The Proprietary 46 <br />Projects include Water and Sewer, Solid Waste Enterprise Fund, and Sportsplex projects. 47 <br /> 48
