On a daily basis I work with individuals that have a variety of <br />disabilities and other barriers which may impact their functioning in daily life. I have worked with <br />individuals with a variety of disabilities since 2009 and received my Master s of Occupational <br />Therapy from UNC-Chapel Hill. As an occupational therapist and during my time in graduate <br />school I have been trained to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and help them <br />reach their potential in daily life no matter their education level, background, race, disability, age, <br />gender, or any other differences they may have. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I am interested in being able to give back to the community. My husband and I bought a home in <br />Hillsborough this past September and are excited to put our roots in Orange County. By serving <br />on this board I will not only give back to the community, but bring my knowledge of working with <br />individuals from a variety of backgrounds with varying strengths and needs.
