Page 2 of 2 Carrie Fletcher <br />Commission for the Environment <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />my experience in the accounting field makes me a good candidate for volunteer board positions. <br />I have many years of analytical thinking, budgeting and business relationships that will enhance <br />my service to these boards. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />Since moving to Orange county in 2009 1 have been interested in preserving the values that I <br />found attractive in this community. The rural way of life as well and how it can integrate with <br />modern technology has always been of interest. As Orange County grows this will be a balance <br />act that will need over site. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Supplemental Questions: <br />Orange County Planning Board (REQUIRES DISCLOSURE STATEMENT) <br />Please list the work /volunteer experience /qualifications that would add to your expertise <br />for this board. <br />I believe that my financial background will be my greatest asset to this board. <br />What unique perspective can you bring to the Orange County Planning Board? <br />In addition to my financial perspective, my home is in the rural area of Orange County. My love <br />of this lifestyle will help maintain balance with our rural values. <br />What do you see as the responsibilities of this board, and what do you hope to <br />accomplish if appointed? <br />As a new member there will be a learning curve but I feel there must be a long term vision that <br />has been prepared and this vision should be preserved. <br />What do you consider to be be the most important issues facing Orange County related <br />to growth? <br />Having a well thought through plan and having the vision to adapt as that plan evolves. <br />What role should the Planning Board take in guiding and regulating growth? <br />That role goes back to the long term goal. I m not sure of that strategy yet but I believe that the <br />Planning Board should be involved in monitoring the incremental desired progress. <br />How would you, as a member of the Planning Board, contribute to the implementation of <br />the Board of Commissioners' adopted Goals and Priorities? <br />Incremental review and evaluation.
