Landfill Capacity; Staff will report on remaining capacity at the County's existing mixed solid <br />waste (MSW) and C&D landfills. <br />Attachment 3g: 1131105 Staff Memo re: Landfill Capacity <br />SWAB Presentation on Major Issues: The Chair of the Solid Waste Advisory Board will report <br />on SWAB activities, accomplishments, plans, and perspectives on key solid waste issues. <br />Attachment 4: SWAB Report to Board of Orange County Commissioners and Orange <br />County Elected Officials <br />Staff Updates: As time permits, staff will provide verbal updates regarding the planned <br />Hampton Pointe recycling center, Southern Village recycling center, landfill gas-to-energy work <br />group initiative, and any other topics the Board or SWAB may request. <br />No Attachments <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no direct financial impact associated with the discussion at <br />this work session, although various background materials provide cost and revenue estimates <br />associated with certain programs, equipment, and facilities. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board discuss agenda topics <br />with the Solid Waste Advisory Board, and provide appropriate direction to staff.
