<br />STATEMENT OF CONSISTENCY <br />OF A PROPOSED UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCETEXTAMENDMENT <br />WITH THE ADOPTED ORANGE COUNTY 2030 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br /> Orange County has initiated an amendmentto the Unified Development Ordinance <br />(UDO) updating and correcting references to the Home Park Conditional Zoning District (HP- <br />CZD). <br />The Planning Board finds: <br />a. The requirements of Section 2.8 of the UDO have been deemed complete; and, <br />b. Pursuant to Sections 1.1.5, and 1.1.7 of the UDO and to Section 153A-341 of the <br />North Carolina General Statutes, the Board finds sufficient documentation within <br />the record denoting that the amendment is consistent withthe adopted 2030 <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br />1.The amendment is consistent with applicable plans becauseit supports the <br />following 2030 Comprehensive Plan goals and objectives: <br />x Land Use Goal 6 – A land use planning process that is <br />transparent, fair, open, efficient, and responsive. <br />These amendments are consistent with this goal and <br />objective by eliminating contradictory references within the <br />UDO concerning the HP-CZD. <br />c. The amendment is reasonable and in the public interest becauseit: <br />1.Eliminates existing inconsistencies with the UDO concerning the Home <br />Parks and HP-CZD. <br />The amendment addresses inconsistencies and outdated <br />references to “Mobile Home Parks and MHP-CZD” within the UDO <br />and updates references to the amendedHP-CZD. <br />ThePlanning Boardof Orange County hereby recommends that the Board of County <br />Commissioners consider adoption of the proposed UDO text amendment. <br />______________________ ________________________ <br />Lydia Wegman,Chair Date <br />Attachment 2 <br />21
