Harvey, Planner III (919) 245-2597 <br />Craig Benedict, Director (919) 245-2575 <br />PURPOSE:To review and make a recommendation on Planning Director initiated Unified <br />Development Ordinance (UDO) text amendmentscorrecting references to the Home Park <br />Conditional Zoning District (HP-CZD) within the UDO. <br />BACKGROUND:In January of 2017 the BOCC approved a text amendment changing the <br />name of the Mobile Home Park Conditional Zoning District (MHP-CZD) to Home Park <br />Conditional Zoning District (HP-CZD). Unfortunately, there are still references to the MHP-CZD <br />within the UDO thereby creating conflict(s). The proposed amendments seekto correct these <br />oversights and ensure uniformity within the UDO. <br />For more information please refer to Attachment 1. <br />Planning Director Recommendation:The Planning Director recommends the approval of the <br />Statement of Consistency, as contained in Attachment 2, and the UDO Text Amendment <br />contained in Attachment 3. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Consideration and approval will not create the need for additional funding <br />for the provision of County services. Existing staff, included in the Departmental staffing budget, <br />will accomplish the work required to process this amendment. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Planning Director recommends the Planning Board: <br />1.Review the proposed amendmentsto the UDO; <br />2.Deliberate on the proposal as desired; <br />3.Consider the Planning Director’s recommendation(s);and <br />4.Make a recommendation to the BOCC on: <br />15
