Dr. Gardiner is a well-known advocate on <br />health equity and tobacco reduction in communities of color, who has become a sought- <br />after speaker on the “Triangulum” link between e-cigarettes, marijuana, and combustible <br />tobacco products. <br /> <br />Upcoming Events <br />• April 3, 2018 – Public Health presentation at the Orange County Government Academy. <br />The academy is designed to educate, inform and engage citizens about the many services <br />and programs Orange County Government provides its residents. <br />• April 4-6, 2018 – Attending the Annual Health Director’s Public Health Legal <br />Conference at UNC School of Government. <br />• April 10-13, 2018 – Health Director and several staff will be in Chicago to attend the <br />Equity Summit. <br />• April 16-17, 2018 – Presenting at the National Preparedness Summit, in Atlanta, GA. I <br />am co-presenting a session on “Integrating Access and Functional Needs Planning into <br />POD Drills” <br />• April 26, 2018 – Library is hosting a Town Hall on the Opioid Epidemic, 8:30am – <br />12:30pm; invitations to Board of Health Members are forthcoming.
