The training was provided by representatives from OpenSource
Leadership. The training took place on December 8th, 2017. We are in process of scheduling a post- training
review and 4 management coaching sessions to continue our racial equity work.
Other divisions within the health department have partnered with Kathleen Clark from OpenSource for similar
training. We were under the impression a contract already existed. This was an incorrect assumption.
Kim is working to finalize Kathleen's contract now so that we may continue our grant work. Kathleen Clark
doesn't have liability insurance. We are asking your permission to assume liability for Kathleen. She has been
working as an independent proprietor frothier home and is covered under her homeowner's insurance. We
believe this risk to be minimal.
