Letter in Support of the White Cross Volunteer Fire Department’s Grant <br />Application to the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program <br />The Board authorized the Chair to sign a letter to the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program <br />supporting the White Cross Volunteer Fire Department’s grant request. <br /> <br />g. Approval of Budget Amendment #7-A – Link Government Services Center Lower <br />Level Upfit <br />The Board approved Budget Amendment #7-A to appropriate $160,000 for the Link Government <br />Services Center Lower Level Upfit designed to serve the Judicial District 15-B Public Defender’s <br />office. This work will proceed concurrently with the other remodeling activity for the Human <br />Rights and Relations Department and a shared multipurpose conference room. <br /> <br />9. County Manager’s Report <br />Bonnie Hammersley reminded the Board of County Commissioners of the joint meeting <br />with Chapel Hill on Thursday at Southern Human Services Center; and the Work Session at <br />Whitted on March 27, with presentation about the Family Success Alliance budget, Economic <br />Development Summit, and Advisory Board and Commissions reporting procedures. <br /> <br />10.
