34 <br />Identify any activities this board /commission expects to carry out in 2018 as they <br />relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. <br />If applicable, is there a fiscal impact (i.e., funding, staff time, other resources) <br />associated with these proposed activities (please list). <br />• Participate in or facilitate an Affordable Housing Tour to note impact <br />of work undertaken and changes in need. <br />• Continue to monitor and provide necessary input and comments on <br />the County's Land Banking /Mobile Home Park Initiative, as well as <br />the intergovernmental response to mitigating resident displacement <br />related to mobile home park closures. <br />• Assist in the formulation of the Consolidated Plan /Annual Action <br />Plan Update. <br />• Continue conducting Speaker Presentations and Community <br />Dialogues to address affordable housing concerns and options that <br />will help to increase the supply and meet a range of needs. <br />• Host a joint session with other Affordable Housing Boards in the <br />County. <br />• Participate in a meeting with Orange County Local Government <br />Affordable Housing Collaborative. <br />What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for the <br />upcoming year that it plans to address, or wishes to bring to the Commissioners' <br />attention? <br />• The need for better communication across all organizations that <br />focus on affordable housing matters. <br />• The need for enhanced communication and engagement between <br />landlords, utility services, the County and the HCV Program. <br />• The need for additional trainings and workshops to build and/or <br />enhance the self- sufficiency of HCV participants. <br />• Ensuring that landlords are complying with regulations. In addition, <br />the County should seek to eliminate repeat non - compliant landlords. <br />• The need to modify zoning regulations to help facilitate affordable <br />housing development opportunities. <br />• The need to further enhance collaboration not only between the <br />governing bodies and non - profits but also between departments <br />within the County and local jurisdictions. <br />
