33 <br />priorities: <br />Goal 1: Ensure a community network of basic human services and <br />infrastructure that maintains, protects and promotes the well -being of all <br />County residents. <br />Priorities: <br />• Providing decent, standard housing options for all residents <br />regardless of household income level. <br />• Identifying funds to develop the targeted number of units (1000) by <br />2020. <br />• Developing explicit plans to inform bond expenditures and other <br />BOCC affordable housing funding. <br />Describe the collaboration relationship(s) this particular board has with other <br />advisory boards and commissions? <br />This Board works closely with the Orange County Housing Authority <br />Board. The Board plans to continue to pursue the opportunity to work <br />collaboratively with the Planning Board to assess the impact of the <br />changes to the Comprehensive Plan. The Board also looks forward to <br />continuing to work with the Human Relations Commission in implementing <br />the update to the Analysis of Impediments. <br />AHAB, in addition, is taking the initiative to work more closely with the <br />Affordable Housing Advisory boards in the Town of Carrboro, Chapel Hill <br />and Hillsborough, as well as the newly expanded and renamed Orange <br />County Local Government Affordable Housing Collaborative. The above <br />items have been added as goals for 2018. <br />If your board /commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory Board <br />involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, please indicate <br />your board's activities /accomplishments as they may relate to the <br />Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br />(The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, OUTBoard, <br />Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation Commission, Agriculture <br />Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, Recreation and Parks Advisory <br />Council) <br />See the above item as it relates to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan and <br />AHAB's goal for continuing to engage with the Planning Board. <br />
