page 37 <br />The Data Center will be geographically situated to leverage multiple Internet Service providers, should our <br />current arrangement of free access from MCNC change. <br /> <br />Without the Data Center move <br /> Information Technologies will have to travel the seven miles between IT offices and the Orange High <br />data center to perform routine maintenance and critical troubleshooting. During high traffic times of <br />day, this could add 15 minutes or more to IT’s response time. Given the need to go from office to Data <br />Center multiple times in outages, this could add significantly to the recover times of critical outages. <br /> The District will continue to have inadequate safety controls in its primary data center and no generator <br />failover for its secondary data center <br /> The District will continue to have poor physical security controls for its secondary data center <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA ITEM # 1 <br />ATTACHMENT A
