<br /> <br />Appropriated for this project: <br /> Current FY <br />2017-18 <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Amendment <br />FY 2017-18 <br />Revised <br />Information Technology $12,481,857 ($151,446) $12,330,411 <br />Total Costs $12,481,857 ($151,446) $12,330,411 <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: There is no Orange County Social Justice Goal impact <br />associated with this item. <br /> <br /> <br />Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks, and Recreation <br />2. The Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation anticipates <br />$12,301 in additional revenue, from a special camp held at New Hope Elementary, in <br />collaboration with the Health Department and the Family Success Alliance. These <br />funds will be used to cover seasonal staff cost associated with the camp. This budget <br />amendment provides for the receipt of these funds for the above stated purpose. <br />(See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goal is <br />applicable to this item: <br />• GOAL: FOSTER A COMMUNITY CULTURE THAT REJECTS OPPRESSION <br />AND INEQUITY <br />The fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people regardless of race or <br />color; religious or philosophical beliefs; sex, gender or sexual orientation; national <br />origin or ethnic background; age; military service; disability; and familial, residential <br />or economic status. <br /> <br />Department on Aging <br /> <br />3. The Department on Aging anticipates additional revenue for: <br />a. Fitness Studio: receipt of an additional $3,500 from fees and donations in <br />support of the instructors and supplies. <br />b. Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) – receipt <br />of $2,940 from the N.C. Department of Insurance, through the Triangle J Area <br />Agency on Aging. These funds will be used for outreach and services <br />available through the SHIIP and low income subsidy programs. <br />c. Facility Fees: receipt of an additional $2,000 from facility fees to help offset <br />the cost of temporary personnel staffing the sites during the rental periods. <br />This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br />Attachment 1, column 3) <br /> <br />SOCIAL JUSTICE IMPACT: The following Orange County Social Justice Goals are <br />applicable to this item: <br />• GOAL: ENSURE ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY <br />The creation and preservation of infrastructure, policies, programs and funding <br />necessary for residents to provide shelter, food, clothing and medical care for <br />themselves and their dependents. <br />• GOAL: CREATE A SAFE COMMUNITY <br />2
