The Parks and Recreation Council is of particular interest to me because <br />of the experiences I have had with parks planning and the potential of parks and common <br />spaces to foster social cohesion and community. I spent my first five years as a Carrboro <br />resident on Williams Street directly across from Wilson Park, which I enjoyed almost daily. I <br />have continued to utilize the many recreational opportunities available in the county, from dog <br />parks to walking/bike trails, and appreciate living in a community that is so invested in <br />maintaining its parks and promoting active lifestyles. I would like to support these longstanding <br />efforts, and seek further opportunities to promote equitable access to parks for residents and <br />visitors throughout the county. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />7
