Explain: A single 0.5 acre (approximate) open water pond was evaluated. The environmental consultants for this project provided a report indicating that there was no apparent surface hydrologic connection from the pond to a stream located downslope and on the project site. The feature (pond) was determined to be an artificial pond created by excavating and /or diking dry land to collect and retain water.
