This memo serves as an update for the projects that <br />are currently under construction or are anticipated to be under construction very soon. <br /> <br />Sportsplex Field House: (FY2017-22 CIP page 421) This project is currently under construction and is <br />anticipated to be complete in the summer of 2018. Site work is largely complete, but has endured wet winter <br />weather challenges. The building construction is underway. County staff is working with the Town of <br />Hillsborough and the Forest Ridge Subdivision regarding the sidewalk expansion connecting the Sportsplex <br />property to the Forest Ridge Subdivision. <br /> <br /> <br />Facility Accessibility and Safety Upgrades: (FY2017-22 CIP page 354) In FY2017-18 this project included <br />installing security cameras at multiple facilities across the County. All the cameras planned for installation in <br />FY2017-18 have been installed and are operational. The facilities that have new cameras include Efland <br />Cheeks Community Center, Rogers Road Community Center, Court Street Annex, Historic Courthouse, and <br />the Orange County Fuel Station. This project is complete. <br /> <br /> <br />Government Services Annex: (FY2017-22 CIP page 356) The Government Services Annex (Board of <br />Elections) project is currently in design and is anticipated to be complete in early spring. Construction bidding <br />and award is contemplated to occur April, 2018. The construction is anticipated to begin in early summer to <br />relocate the existing electrical distribution and replace the Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning from the <br />basement to other areas within the existing facility to mitigate new flood plain elevations that put these systems <br />at risk. Special attention will be design within the process to ensure continuous services provided by the Board <br />of Elections. The project should be fully complete during the fall, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />Passmore Center Expansion: (FY2017-22 CIP page 363) This project is currently under construction and is <br />anticipated to be complete in the late summer of 2018. Site work is largely complete and, like the Sportsplex <br />Fieldhouse, has endured wet winter weather challenges. The building construction is anticipated to start late <br />spring. <br />1
