Tom Altieri shared information on the issue of the ½ cent sales. Tom <br />Altieri noted that county dollars cannot be spent promoting a tax. <br />Darcy Zorio also added that these are additions (Attachment 3) and there are other duties. The previous duties will <br />stand. She added that a lot of the language on Attachment 3 came from the County attorney’s office. <br />There was extensive discussion about membership and open vacancies. There was discussion about the open <br />position in Cheeks Township. Randy Marshall suggested the draft be revised under Section B to eliminate the <br />Economic Development Commission, eliminate the Transportation Services Board and add a Department of Social <br />Services Advisory Board representative. Under C, we add a Rail representative. Darcy noted there is a Social <br />Services Board. <br />Motion made by Randy Marshall to eliminate the Transportation Services Board and add a Department of Social <br />Services Advisory Board and a Rail representative. Jeff Charles seconded the motion. <br />Vote: Unanimous <br />AGENDA ITEM V: STAFF UPDATES: <br />x Orange County Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP) 76 <br /> The CTP is on hold until the MPO boundary issue is resolved as to where the boundary the Burlington Graham <br />MPO and the DCHC is. <br />x Orange County Transit Plan Timeline 80 <br /> Reviewed timeline. By the next BOCC Regular meeting, the results should be available. <br />x Safe Routes to Schools Update 83 <br /> No update. The document is in the hands of the Safe Routes to School DOT which has been given to the <br />consulting firm. <br />x Memo from Chair Pelissier to OUTBoard 87 <br /> The memo was reviewed and list of action items was noted. There was concern about the clarity of the letter <br />and the intention. Darcy recommended board communication between OUTBoard and Planning Board. <br /> The next discussion was about TIP and how to make it easier to read and process. Tina Love suggested using <br />the projector to see the map. There may be a problem getting an actual start date.
