Page3of14 <br /> <br />c.AllboardmembersshallberesidentsofOrangeCountyandshallmaintain <br />theirdomicileinOrangeCountyunlesstheyareundereighteen(18)yearsof <br />ageandapplyingforayouthͲdesignatedposition.TheClerkshallconfirm <br />applicantsareresidentsofOrangeCountyandmaintaintheirdomicilein <br />OrangeCounty. <br />i.Domicileisdefinedasone’spermanentestablishedhomeas <br />distinguishedfromone’stemporaryalthoughactualplaceof <br />residence. <br />d.Allboardmembersshallhavegoodreputationsforintegrityandaninterest <br />incommunityservice. <br />e.NonomineetoaboardshallbecurrentlyemployedbyOrangeCounty <br />governmentandserveonaboardthatdirectlyaffectstheirwork. <br />f.Nonomineemaycurrentlybeapartytoorbetheactuallegal <br />representativeinlitigationagainstOrangeCounty.TheClerkshallconfirm <br />nomineesarenotinvolvedinsuchlitigation. <br />g.Eachnomineemustbepreparedandcommittedtoparticipateinadvisory <br />boardworkinamannerthatenhancesrelationshipsbetweenthecounty <br />andthecommunity. <br />h.Advisoryboardmembersshallowenooutstandingtaxesatthetimeof <br />appointment. <br />i.AllboardmembersarerepresentativesoftheOrangeCountyBoardof <br />Commissionersandshallconductthemselves,bothintheirofficialactions <br />andpersonalactionssoastobeabovereproachintheirconductandshall <br />notbringdisreputetoeithertheCountyortheCommissioners. <br />j.TheOrangeCountyBoardofCommissionersmaywaiveanyofthe <br />conditionswithinthissection,withtheexceptionofstatutorilyimposed <br />conditions. <br /> <br />B.Composition <br />1.TheOrangeCountyBoardofCommissionersshallappointallvotingandnonvoting <br />exofficiomemberstoadvisoryboards.TheOrangeCountyBoardofCommissioners <br />shallendeavortoappointmemberswhorepresenttheethnic,cultural, <br />demographic,andgeographicdiversityofthecommunity. <br /> <br />C.SelectionCriteria <br />1.Appointedmembers,exceptforexofficiomembers,shallbequalifiedbytheClerk <br />totheBoardofCountyCommissioners. <br />2.Membersshallbeappointedfromapplicantswhoseproperlyfiledandsubmitted <br />applicationsweresubmittedtotheClerktotheBoardofOrangeCounty. <br /> <br />D.Appointment <br />1.AllmembersofadvisoryboardsserveatthepleasureoftheOrangeCountyBoardof <br />Commissioners. <br />2.Appointmentstoadvisoryboardswillbeinitiatedwithapublicapplicationprocess <br />fromindividuals,advisoryboards,orcommunityandprofessionalorganizations. <br />3.AllappointmentstoadvisoryboardswillbemadebytheOrangeCountyBoardof <br />Commissioners. <br />Attachment 2 7
