Page8of14 <br /> <br />2.Membersserveinavoluntarycapacityandshallreceivemonetarycompensationor <br />reimbursementonlyperstandardcountypolicyandwithOrangeCountyBoardof <br />Commissionersapproval. <br />3.MembersshallreceivenofinancialoremployeebenefitsfromtheCountyunless <br />authorizedbyanothersectionofthispolicyandspecificallyapprovedbytheOrange <br />CountyBoardofCommissioners. <br />4.TheCountywillprovideofficesuppliesandassumeresponsibilityforother <br />reasonableexpensesnecessaryfortheoperationoftheboard. <br /> <br />C.Confidentiality <br />1.TheChairshallserveasthespokespersonfortheadvisoryboard. <br />2.ExceptfortheChair,nomemberoftheadvisoryboardshallmakeanywrittenor <br />oralstatementofanyconfidentialmattertoanyindividual,business,oragency.A <br />violationofthissectionwillresultinthatmember’simmediateremovalfromthe <br />advisoryboard. <br />3.Membersoftheadvisoryboardmayreceiveinformationregardingpersonnel <br />mattersandotherinformationofasensitiveorconfidentialnature.Itshallbethe <br />dutyandresponsibilityofeachmembertorespectandmaintaintheconfidentiality <br />ofclientissuespresentedbeforetheboard.Neithertheadvisoryboardnorany <br />individualmembershalldisseminateconfidentialinformationreceivedduring <br />advisoryboardmeetings. <br />4.Advisoryboardmembersmayberequiredtosignconfidentialitystatementsas <br />necessaryandwillberemovedfromtheadvisoryboarduponviolationofthe <br />confidentialityagreement. <br /> <br /> <br />SECTIONVI.MEETINGS <br /> <br />A.RegularMeetings <br />1.AllmeetingsaretobeopentothepublicasrequiredbytheapplicableNorth <br />CarolinaGeneralStatutes. <br />2.Unlessotherwisespecified,publicmeetingswillfollowthestandardrulesof <br />proceduredefinedbytheOrangeCountyBoardofCommissioners. <br />3.Theadvisoryboardmembersshalldeterminethedate,time,andplaceforeach <br />meeting,consistentwiththeguidelinesbelow. <br />a.Regularadvisoryboardandsubcommitteemeetings. <br />i.TheadvisoryboardconvenesuponcalloftheChairandmeetson <br />scheduleasestablishedbythespecificadvisoryboardpolicy. <br />ii.Subcommitteemeetingdatesshallbesetbythesubcommittee <br />Chairsandshallbescheduledinconjunctionwithadvisoryboard <br />meetings. <br />iii.Ascheduleofallmeetingdates,times,andplacesshallbeproperly <br />postedinaccordwithNorthCarolinaLawanddeliveredtotheClerk <br />totheBoard. <br /> <br />B.SpecialMeetings <br />Attachment 2 12
