4 <br />2. The OUTBoard regularly reviewed active NCDOT projects in the County, <br />including various paving, construction and CMAQ projects. <br />3. Regularly received updates and reviewed the progress of NCDOT <br />transportation projects within rural Orange County. <br />4. Regularly received updates on TARPO, BG MPO and DCHC MPO <br />transportation planning activities. <br />5. Received updates from the Planning staff on the NCDOT quarterly <br />luncheon topics of discussion. <br />6. Reviewed and discussed current Board vacancies. <br />Describe this board/commission’s activities/accomplishments in carrying <br />out BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br />Accomplishments 1, 4, 5, 7, 8 and 12) (review and recommendation of the <br />Comprehensive Transportation Plan (CTP), the Eno Economic Development <br />District Access Management Plan, the Safe Routes to School Action Plan; the <br />designation of St. Mary’s Road as a regional bicycle route on the DCHC MPO <br />MPT; prioritization of TARPO, BGMPO and DCHC MPO transportation projects, <br />and the review and recommendation of proposed rural Orange County bus <br />routes that serve to implement the OCBRIP ) relate to BOCC Goal Three <br />(Implement planning and economic development policies which create a <br />balanced, dynamic local economy, and which promote diversity, sustainable <br />growth and enhanced revenue while embracing community values), Priority 20: <br />Support transit, pedestrian, and bicycle facilities and other alternatives to the <br />single passenger automobile. <br />Accomplishments 6, 11, and 15 (Reviewing the WalkBike NC Plan – A North <br />Carolina Statewide Pedestrian and Bicycle Plan, receiving a presentation from <br />Triangle Transit on the implementation of the Orange County Bus and Rail <br />Investment Plan, and development of a review process for transportation items of <br />interest on other boards’ websites and/or agendas) relate to BOCC Goal Two <br />(promote an interactive and transparent system of governance that reflects <br />community values), Priority 7 (Improve intra- and intergovernmental coordination, <br />cooperation and collaboration). <br />Accomplishment 16 (Review of new criteria for membership and representation, <br />based on BOCC discussions related to BOCC Goal 2 (Promote an interactive <br />and transparent system of governance that reflects community values), Priority 8 <br />(Examine advisory boards and commissions to (a) Ensure they are meeting their <br />missions; (b) Determine how boards relate to each other and how their work can <br />best be integrated with the BOCC; and (c) Ensure sustainability goals; (d) Ensure <br />fit with overall County vision; and (e) Recognize and be sensitive to consistencies <br />represented by boards, commissions when framing this review.) <br />24 <br />ReturntoAgenda
