2 <br />What are your Board/Commission’s most important accomplishments? <br />In 2013, the OUTBoard has: <br />1. Reviewed and recommended the Comprehensive Transportation Plan for <br />rural Orange County. As a part of this process the Board received <br />presentations from Scott Walston, PE, NCDOT Transportation Planning <br />Branch, and Matt Day, Senior Planner with the Triangle Area Regional <br />Planning Organization (TARPO). <br />2. Received a presentation on the content and status of the Durham-Chapel <br />Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan Planning Organization (DCHC MPO) 2040 <br />Metropolitan Transportation Plan (MTP) and Comprehensive <br />Transportation Plan (CTP). <br />3. Received a presentation on the content and status of the Burlington- <br />Graham Metropolitan Planning Organization (BG MPO) 2035 Long-Range <br />Transportation Plan (LRTP) Update. <br />4. Reviewed and recommended the Eno Economic Development District <br />(EDD) Access Management Plan, implementing a recommendation of the <br />Eno Economic Development District (EDD) Area Small Area Plan adopted <br />June 24, 2008 and amended February 3, 2009). <br />5. Reviewed and recommended the Safe Routes to School Action Plan. <br />6. Reviewed the WalkBike NC Plan – A North Carolina Statewide Pedestrian <br />and Bicycle Plan, and endorsed Planning staff’s comment letter to <br />NCDOT. <br />7. Received a presentation from staff and Dale McKeel, Bicycle and <br />Pedestrian Coordinator, Department of Transportation, City of <br />Durham/DCHC MPO on the designation of St. Mary’s Road as a regional <br />bicycle route on the DCHC MPO MTP; and then reviewed and <br />recommended that this designation be removed from the MTP in favor of a <br />preferred alternative consistent with Orange County’s approved bicycle <br />route. <br />8. Received a presentation from Dale McKeel, Bicycle and Pedestrian <br />Coordinator, Department of Transportation, City of Durham/DCHC MPO <br />on the prioritization and funding of bicycle and pedestrian projects under <br />the new Strategic Mobility Formula. <br />9. Reviewed and recommended prioritization of TARPO, BGMPO and DCHC <br />MPO transportation projects for the 2016-2022 Transportation <br />Improvement Program (TIP). <br />10. Received presentations from staff and reviewed the effect of changes to <br />State and MPO project prioritization methodology on County projects to be <br />programmed through TARPO, BG MPO and DCHC MPO. <br />22 <br />ReturntoAgenda
