RATIONALE <br />1.Purpose/Mission <br />The Eno Economic Development District (EDD) Area Small Area Plan (June 24, <br />2008; Amended February 3, 2009)recommended the approval of an access <br />management program for US 70 and Old Highway 10 (as described in the Plan) to <br />provide better transportation systems and capacities as development proceeds in the <br />area. Additionally, the I-85/US 70 interchangeis under re-design by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). <br />11
