Preparation includes the receipt of new buses, hiring and training bus <br />operators and identifying potential route starting dates. <br />Buses - Funding application submitted and approved Fall 2014. <br />x Two (2) buses received April 28, 2015 - expected service ready date of August 17, 2015. <br />x Five (5) additional buses began assembly July 20, 2015 with an expected delivery of <br />September 15, 2015 – Predicted service ready date of October 15, 2015. <br />Employees <br />x Seven (7) bus operators (3 full-time, 4 part-time) began training August 10, 2015. <br />x 120 hours of training will be completed in preparation of new service start dates. <br />Route Start Dates <br />x Orange County Chapel Hill Connector (expanded service to Cedar Grove and hourly <br />service ~ 9:45am to 3:45 pm) begins August 17, 2015. <br />x All other expansion services are proposed to begin in October once the receipt of buses <br />is verified. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: The Staff recommends the OUTBoard and any additional County staff <br />representatives: <br />1.Receive the information. <br />2.Provide feedback. <br />17
