The public hearing for OPT’s <br />draft plan is scheduled to occurbefore the BOCCat its March 17, 2015, meeting, and <br />OUTBoard members were invited to attend. <br />NEXT STEPS: The 30-day public comment period closed on March 5, 2015. Following the <br />public hearing and the BOCC’sreviewand consideration of adoption by resolution <br />(Attachment 3) of the draft ADA planon March 17, 2015,the OUTBoard is being asked to <br />endorse the BOCC action. The ADA plan will then be forwardedfor review and approvalto <br />agenciesthat requirethe plan for grant eligibility, such as NCDOT and the Federal Transit <br />Administration. Once approved by those agencies, the plan will be published as OPT’s official <br />ADA plan and implemented accordingly before expansion services begin this spring. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS:The Staffrecommends the OUTBoard: <br />1.Review the BOCC’s action on March 17, 2015, regarding the Orange Public <br />Transportation ADA Plan; and <br />2.Endorse the BOCC’s action. <br />8 <br />ReturntoAgenda
