ORANGE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION <br />Notice of Public Meeting, Public Hearing, and 30-Day Public Comment Period <br />on a Draft ADA Paratransit Plan <br />The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires Orange Public Transportation to <br />extend complementary ADA-accessible paratransit service to eligible persons within ¾ - <br />mile of its fixed-route service at concurrent times and dates to the routes and hours of <br />fixed-route operation. <br />Presentation of the draft Orange Public Transportation ADA Paratransit Plan and <br />associated policies will be provided at a public meeting held by Orange Public <br />Transportation staff February 12, 2015, at 7:00pm in Room 004 in the basement of the <br />Orange County West Campus Office building located at 131 W. Margaret Lane, <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278. The public will then be provided the opportunity to comment on <br />the draft plan. <br />A public hearing for the draft plan will additionally be held by the Orange Unified <br />Transportation Board February 18, 2015, at 7:00pm in Room 004 in the basement of the <br />Orange County West Campus Office building located at 131 W. Margaret Lane; <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278, at which time a presentation of the draft plan will be provided <br />and the public will be given an opportunity to comment. <br />The draft plan will be available for review and inspection on the Orange Public <br />Transportation website (http://www.co.orange.nc.us/transportation/); in the <br />administrative offices of Orange Public Transportation located at 600 Highway 86 N, <br />Hillsborough, NC, 27278; and in the administrative offices of the Orange County <br />Planning and Inspections Department located at 131 W. Margaret Lane, Suite 201, <br />Hillsborough,NC 28278.
