OUTBoard Annual Report 2015 and <br />Work Plan 2017 <br />2. 2009 BOCC Goals <br />3. 2030 Comprehensive Plan Goals and <br />Objectives <br />Abigaile Pittman, Transportation/ Land <br />Use Planner, 919-245-2567 <br />Tom Altieri, Comprehensive Planning <br />Supervisor, 919-245-2575 <br />PURPOSE:To receive a staff update on the OUTBoard Annual Report 2016 and Work Plan 2017. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The OUTBoard’s Annual Report and Work Plan is required to be completed and return to the <br />Clerk’s office no later thanFriday, December 16th. The annual report, which is prepared by staff, will <br />inform the Board of Commissioners (BOCC) of the past yearly activities of the OUTBoard. The work <br />plan, which is prepared by staff and the OUTBoard, will entail a plan for future activities of the <br />Board. These activities should be consistent with the goals and objectives of the BOCC. <br />For reference, staff has provided a copy of last year’s Annual Report 2015 and Work Plan 2017 <br />(Attachment 1), the 2009 BOCC Goals (Attachment 2), and the 2030 Comprehensive Plan Goals <br />and Objectives (Attachment 3). These documents are guides and references for preparation of the <br />2016 Annual Report and 2017 Work Plan. <br />The Clerk’s office has informed staff that the Annual Report and Work Plan review and approval will <br />not be part of the Commissioners’ annual board retreat (as of now) but will most likely be addressed <br />as the plans were last year- in a work session in early spring 2017. The OUTBoard’s Annual Report <br />and Work will be presented to the BOCC at a work session in early 2017, and as is customary, the <br />Chair of the OUTBoard will be asked to attend as well. <br />RECOMMENDATION: The staff recommends that the OUTBoard receive the updates in <br />preparation for discussion of this item at its November 16 meeting. <br />17
