Orange County & NCDOT Highway Luncheon <br />Division 7 and District 1 <br />July 12, 12:00 p.m. <br />years about 20 miles were paved annually just in Orange County. Bonnie <br />Hammersley asked if the County could use the money to move Arthur Minnis up <br />and out of the NCDOT hold list and into being programmed for paving. Chuck <br />Edwards replied that the funds could be applied to the Arthur Minnis project if the <br />right-of-way issues were also addressed. <br />III.PENDING PROJECTS <br />a)TIP project updates. Carmel /Bennett Road- Public Meeting Held <br />June 2016- Construction Scheduled Mid 2017 <br />Private Rail Crossing Closures <br />x Gordon Thomas Drive, Greenbrier Drive, Byrdsville Road- Construction <br />underway, Completion December 2016 <br />Note: Abigaile Pittman stated that she had heard from the NCDOT project <br />manager that the Byrdsville Road project would run about six months behind <br />the others due to its complexity. <br />Small Construction /Spot Safety <br />x Intersection Improvements Cole Mill Road at Pleasant Green Road- <br />Construction has begun. Utility relocations underway. Completion August <br />2016 subject to clearance of utility conflicts <br />x New Traffic Signal NC 54 at Dodson’s Crossroad/Butler Road- Under <br />construction.
