Orange County Public Transportation System Success Plan FY 17 <br />Orange County Public Transportation (OPT) is a Community Transportation system located in <br />Orange County North Carolina and serves the residence of rural Orange County. OPT provides safe <br />and convenient transport for residents and visitors to rural Orange County Monday through Friday <br />from 6:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. We provide limited service to our dialysis passengers on Saturday’s. <br />Mission Statement <br />Working together to provide safe, reliable, balanced, accessible, quality service on an ongoing basis. <br />Vision Statement <br />To perform safely and consistently. <br />Values <br />Safety <br />Consistency <br />Accessible to those in need <br />Professional, helpful, courteous and consistent customer service <br />Successful Moments <br />OPT will have a successful year if we can as a minimum complete the following: <br />1.Increase ridership by 3% per year to keep pace with growth projections. <br />2.Acquire new more efficient technology - Complete the acquisition process for MDTs; <br />Implement training and use; and monitor effectiveness through validation process. <br />3.Complete an on time maintenance rate of 85% or higher <br />4.Replace high mileage high maintenance vehicles –continue the acquisition process for six <br />urban-use vehicles with bi-monthly updates of progress <br />5.Implement approved fixed and deviated fixed routes at least one quarterly. Implement new <br />fixed routes with target goals at least 25% of current ridership levels. Monitor existing <br />routes maintaining at least 5.8 pass/hour on fixed route and 3.0 on demand response. <br />6.Complete and document 25% of driver road-rides quarterly <br />$WWDFKPHQW <br />14
