Seconded by Jeff Charles.29 <br />VOTE:Unanimous30 <br />31 <br />AGENDA ITEM 4:Consideration of Additions of the Agenda32 <br />33 <br />Discussion about Alex Castro presenting at the Chapel Hill Transportation and Connectivity Advisory Board on 34 <br />Complete Streets on March 22, 2016 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall in Chapel Hill. 35 <br />36 <br />AGENDA ITEM 5:MPO and RPO Methodologies for ranking Transportation Improvement Program 37 <br />(TIP) Project Request (Max Bushell)38 <br />39 <br />OUTBoard Action: Receive and review information. 40 <br />41 <br />Max Bushell delivered his presentation.42 <br />43 <br />Abigaile Pittman explained that a revision was made to the NC HWY 54 project when it was reviewed by TARPO and 44 <br />the DCHC MPO, which resulted in it being brokenup into sections of intersection improvements, instead of widening 45 <br />it. A corridor study has been added to the current STIP that will to help determine feasible alternatives for the project. 46 <br />47 <br />Alex Castro questioned what the continuity is since NC Hwy 54 is in the MPO, but then goes into TARPO. Matt Day 48 <br />explained that was the original problem and discussed how the RPO and MPO didn’t support each other’s plan and 49 <br />he expressed that they’re coordinating much more closely now to avoid running into that type of problem again. Matt 50 <br />Day informed the Board that the county plan and the RPO wantedto widen NC Hwy 54and Carrboro opposed. 51 <br /> 3
