<br /> 970 <br />AGENDA ITEM 8: BOARD COMMENTS 971 <br /> 972 <br />Abigaile Pittman made the Board aware of an upcoming public meeting (notice forthcoming) that is a drop-in session 973 <br />for the 2045 Metropolitan Transportation Plan alternatives analysis. This will be held on September 12, 2017, 5:30-974 <br />7:30pm in this room, DCHC MPO. Andy Henry from the Durham Transportation Department will also be doing a 975 <br />presentation for the OUTBoard’s September 20 meeting. S 976 <br /> 977 <br />Abigaile Pittman stated that the Clerk’s Office asked her to notify some of the members’ term limits are approaching: 978 <br />Ed Vaughn, Brantley Wells, Art Menius, Jenn Sykes, and Heidi Perry. Ms. Pittman said that she needs to know by 979 <br />Wednesday, September 6 if these members want to serve another term. Ms. Pittman talked about a computer glitch 980 <br />in the Clerk’s Office that caused confusion when some members were asked to re-apply to the OUTBoard. This has 981 <br />been cleared-up. Ms. Pittman received confirmation from Mr. Vaughn, Mr. Menius, Ms. Sykes, and Ms. Perry that 982 <br />they wanted to serve another term. Ms. Pittman said that she would follow-up with Mr. Brantley Wells. 983 <br /> 984 <br />Heidi Perry asked if Jeff Charles was going to serve another term. 985 <br /> 986 <br />Abigaile Pittman said that his term is not up yet, and under the circumstances they will wait for Mr. Charles to check-987 <br />in with Staff. 988 <br /> 989 <br />Ms. Perry shared a brief update on Mr. Charles’ medical condition and said she has not talked to him personally but 990 <br />thought that he was getting better. 991 <br /> 992 <br />Art Menius asked if Board members with terms expiring on September 30 need to do anything proactive to continue 993 <br />their service on the Board. 994 <br /> 995 <br />Abigaile Pittman said that if the aforementioned members could send her an email saying that they have an interest 996 <br />in serving an additional term, and she will forward the email to Tom Freeman in the Clerk’s Office. 997 <br /> 998 <br />Heidi Perry asked about how the Board could take back up the matter of a feasibility study for the possibility of a bike 999 <br />path from Carrboro to Hillsborough. She said that Max Bushell had provided some price quotes on this idea a while 1000 <br />back. 1001 <br /> 1002 <br />Abigaile Pittman said that she would try and find an answer to this question, but that Mr. Bushell had also provided 1003 <br />background on the concept, how it had been evaluated in the past, and other information. 1004 <br /> 1005 <br />Heidi Perry said that she could look into the matter as a resident and discuss it with the BOCC. 1006 <br /> 1007 <br />Abigaile Pittman said that she would consult with others and get back to Ms. Perry about the issue. 1008 <br /> 1009 <br />AGENDA ITEM 9: ADJOURNMENT 1010 <br /> 1011 <br />Alex Castro made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Art Menius seconded the motion 1012 <br />OUTBoard meeting was adjourned by consensus. 1013 <br /> 1014 <br /> 1015 <br /> <br /> ____________________________________ <br /> Heidi Perry, Chair <br /> <br /> <br /> 21
